Bitztek (“we”, “us”, or “our”) develops and maintains Bitztek Azan Display (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, and when it is shared.

Bluetooth and nearby devices. The App accesses Bluetooth to discover, list, pair with, and connect to a compatible Bitztek prayer-time display. It may access the Bluetooth device name and address supplied by Android. These details are used locally to select and connect to the display. The App does not send your Bluetooth device list to Bitztek.
Location permission on older Android versions. Android versions that use location permission for Bluetooth discovery may ask for coarse or fine location permission before the App can discover nearby Bluetooth devices. The App uses that permission only to perform the user-requested Bluetooth discovery operation. The App does not read, calculate, record, store, or transmit your precise or approximate GPS coordinates, and it does not use location for advertising, analytics, or profiling.
Internet access. The App downloads prayer-time chart data from public Google Sheets published by Bitztek. The downloaded chart data is cached in the App’s private storage for offline use. The App does not require an account or ask you to submit your name, phone number, email address, or precise location.
User-requested chart review by email. The App allows users to edit prayer-time charts locally, but edited timings are not published directly to the display. If the user chooses Save and then confirms Yes to send the update, Android opens the user’s installed email application with the edited chart, the selected chart name, and the message entered by the user. The message is addressed to Bitztek’s support team for review. Bitztek may approve and publish the timings; after publication, the updated chart becomes available in the App for the user to download and send to the display. This email transfer is initiated by the user, and the App does not send the message silently in the background.
Local settings and notifications. The App stores settings such as selected prayer charts, alarm choices, ringtone selection, display configuration, and the selected/remembered Bluetooth display on the device. It may schedule local alarms and show local notifications. These are Android device functions; we do not receive the notification content or alarm data.
Information accessed by the App is used only to load prayer-time data, configure and update the compatible display, remember your preferences, and provide local prayer alarms and notifications. We do not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for analytics or profiling.
The App does not share your location, Bluetooth identifiers, settings, or other personal information automatically with Bitztek or third parties. If you explicitly choose the chart-review feature, the edited chart and your entered message are passed to your chosen email application and sent to the Bitztek support recipients shown by that email application. This is a user-initiated transfer for review and publication of corrected prayer timings. To download chart data, the App connects to Google-hosted public spreadsheet URLs. Google may process ordinary web-request information such as an IP address and user-agent under Google’s own policies and infrastructure. The App does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or social-media SDKs.
App settings and cached chart data are stored in the App’s private Android storage. They remain on the device until you change or delete them, clear the App’s data, uninstall the App, or use an in-App delete/clear option where available. Data sent over the user-selected Bluetooth connection is sent only to that display. No security method is perfect, so users should keep Android and the App updated and pair only with displays they trust.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can deny Bluetooth, nearby-device, or location permission in Android settings. Without the required Bluetooth permission, the App cannot discover or connect to a display, but other local features may remain available. You can remove locally stored App data through Android Settings or uninstall the App.
We may update this policy when the App or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published at this URL with a new effective date.
